We understand how important maintaining a record of activities can be. For those of you making the switch from Polar to COROS, welcome to the team! Below is a guide of how to import your eligible historic activity data from Polar to your COROS account.
First you must log in to your Polar account ( https://account.polar.com/ ) and request to export your data by clicking the “Download Your Data” option. Instructions on how to do so can be found by following this link.
Once your data is available, you will receive an email. The embedded link in the email brings you back to the same page, but this time, the "Download your data" button is changed to allow you to download it. Downloading it will provide you with your data via ZIP folder.
The files you receive will be in JSON format, which is not an eligible file type to upload into your COROS account. There are online tools available to convert your activity files from JSON into .FIT files. Here is one example: https://www.tredict.com/polarjson2fit-converter/
Only Polar files labeled "Training Session" are able to be converted to .FIT file and uploaded to your COROS account. There also may be a limit to how many files you can convert at one time, so you may need to repeat this process a few time.
Select any eligible file types such as:
Convert them to .FIT, and if the tool you use does not export them to you as a ZIP folder then compress them into a ZIP folder so that you can upload them into your COROS account.
Next, follow these steps to upload eligible workouts onto your COROS account via the COROS Training Hub:
- Go to the User Login portal from coros.com or t.coros.com.
- Log in to the portal with your COROS account credentials.
- Click on Activity List to view workouts saved on your COROS account.
- Click on Import Data -> Select File
- Select the ZIP folder you just created with your converted Polar activities, now all in .FIT format
PLEASE NOTE when uploading the files, it may take over an hour to complete depending on how large the file is. Please keep your browser open until the upload completes, at which time the uploading progress page will refresh.
Additionally, you may see an error message after the upload completes stating that the upload failed. That refers to certain activities not being compatible and failing to upload, but all compatible activities will have successfully uploaded.
After completing the upload, it may take 30+ minutes before the activities appear in your account as they are being processed. Not all activities will impact your COROS training EvoLab metrics due to being recorded on a non-COROS device, but any eligible activities should now appear in your account and the details can be viewed anytime!
