The COROS POD 1 (Performance Optimization Device) connects to COROS watches via Bluetooth connection. If you are having difficulty connecting your COROS POD 1 to your watch or completed an activity but are seeing no data within the activity summary, please use the troubleshooting steps below to resolve any issues.
Establish a New Bluetooth Connection
To ensure a proper Bluetooth bond is established between your COROS watch and the COROS POD 1, we want to disconnect any previous connections to create a strong new pairing. Please note, it is necessary to always pair the COROS POD 1 with your COROS watch first. Do not connect the COROS POD 1 to the COROS app or the Bluetooth settings on your mobile device.
Remove the COROS POD 1 from all Bluetooth connection areas
Open the COROS app, navigate to the "Device" page, select the COROS POD 1, then choose "Remove" at the bottom of the page.
Go to your phone's Bluetooth settings, if you see the COROS POD 1 appear in the list, remove the COROS POD 1 connection. (if you are using an iPhone and there is no "i" icon next to the POD 1, please make sure you remove the POD 1 from the COROS app first)
Hold the back button on your COROS watch to access the Toolbox. Navigate to -> System -> Accessories -> Added List -> COROS POD -> Remove Device
Reconnect the COROS POD 1 to your watch
(DO NOT PAIR WITH YOUR PHONE/COROS APP BEFORE THIS)
Hold the back button on your COROS watch to access the Toolbox. Navigate to -> System -> Accessories -> Add Bluetooth
Shake the COROS POD 1 side to side until you see a small red LED indicator appear. Wait for the POD 1 to appear on the watch. Choose to connect (an "Added Successfully" message will appear)
Please Read
You now have a new Bluetooth connection between your COROS watch and the COROS POD 1. The POD 1 may not appear within your phone's Bluetooth settings or the COROS app, this is normal.
When connected, your COROS POD 1 relays data to your watch during an activity which is then passed from your watch to the COROS app after your activity is finished to view those metrics. Please make sure that before starting a run, you shake the COROS POD 1 to activate the Bluetooth connection.
The COROS POD 1 data will automatically integrate with the data fields already on your COROS watch and no additional setup is required to view the POD 1 metrics.
