We always do our best to promote, advocate and most importantly practice sustainability. We hope that this is well known through our actions such as the recent initiatives donating proceeds to Presents for the Planet, Protect Our Winters, One Tree Planted, and more environmentally focused initiatives. In addition, it is worth mentioning that a core piece of our business is continuing to add value to our watches through updates, far past the point of purchase, with a goal of allowing our users to use their watches for as long as possible - reducing the need to buy an entirely new piece of hardware.
To speak on recycling, as is the case with any tech device, the hardware experiences “wear and tear” from regular use. The practicality of this is that once a piece of hardware in the tech world reaches a certain age, it is unlikely that it is up to today's standards of tech, rendering it nearly useless in producing new or refurbished devices. This is why we always recommend taking used COROS watches that are no longer needed to local recycling centers for handling, reducing the environmental impact of shipping watches across great distances in hopes that one or two minimal pieces may be viable for reuse.
