We have the unfortunate news in sharing that over the weekend one of our warehouses was broken into and there were a significant number of watches stolen as a result.
We always want to make sure all of our users stay in the know and that we do our best to educate everyone on all things COROS, which includes a reminder that we always recommend purchasing COROS watches from Authorized Sellers (https://coros.com/retail).
We expect to see some (or most) of the watches start to surface on markets such as eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, or even local sellers in the coming days and weeks. Please note that when purchasing watches from unauthorized sellers that the buyer assumes all responsibility for the purchase.
Watches that were stolen in the recent theft will have a code/notification appear on the COROS app and watch: B014
*Any COROS watch which was obtained illegally will be automatically disabled and the individual in possession of the stolen goods will not be able to use the watch under any circumstance*
If you believe you may have purchased a COROS watch that was obtained illegally by the seller, here are a few suggestions from our team:
1. Purchasing COROS watches from Authorized Sellers (https://coros.com/retail)
2. Contact the seller letting them know your concerns and to request a refund/return
3. Contact the institution or service platform responsible for the transaction (credit card company, PayPal, eBay, etc.). Inform them of the situation and provide as many details as possible.
4. Report the incident to email@example.com
