Apex 2 Pro Altimeter

If during an activity (any but particularly in mountain-related activities) you take a break, even of a few seconds, the altimeter will skew (probably be recalibrated), sometimes, even by quite a bit in calculating the elevation gain. 
See attached image sometimes altitude step arrive at 100 meters  . 
It would be useful either to be able to have the elevation gain recalculated at the end of the activity using the GPS track or somehow to have the altimeter not have these swings during an activity.
