When Gesture Backlight feature is enabled, it activates the backlight when the watch detects a wrist raise.
The backlight will be off when your wrist is down or turned the opposite direction.
Follow the steps to access the gesture backlight setting on your watch.
- COROS APEX Pro/APEX 2/APEX 2 Pro/PACE 3/VERTIX/VERTIX 2/VERTIX 2S: System > More Settings > Backlight > Auto.
- COROS PACE/PACE 2/APEX: System > More Settings > Gesture Backlight > Auto.
Unfortunately this setting cannot be adjusted by users.
Start Time: 1 hour earlier than the local sunset time.
End Time: 1 hour later than the local sunrise time.
If the Auto mode is not displaying the correct sunset/sunrise time, please start any outdoor workout on your watch and ensure the GPS signal is fully acquired. Then the Auto mode should display the correct time based on your GPS location.
COROS PACE/PACE 2/PACE 3/APEX
Disabling the Gesture Backlight mode will NOT disable the backlight on the watch. Operating buttons will still activate backlight on COROS PACE/APEX.
If Gesture Backlight is disabled, the watch will still activate the backlight when new notifications or workout alerts show up.
COROS APEX Pro/APEX 2/APEX 2 Pro/VERTIX/VERTIX 2/VERTIX 2S
Disabling the Backlight mode will also disable the gesture backlight feature. Operating buttons will NOT activate backlight on COROS APEX Pro/VERTIX. However, you can press the LIGHT button to activate the backlight.
