Control the music playing from your connected smartphone, directly on your COROS device.
To get started, make sure:
- Your COROS device and smartphone are connected via Bluetooth
- Supported music or podcast app is playing on your smartphone (see our list of supported apps below)
- The COROS app is open on your smartphone and running in the background (if the app is closed at any time, Media Controls will not be available)
- On Android phones, notification permissions are enabled for the COROS app
Use Media Control on COROS Watches
To get started, open the Toolbox menu on your watch by long pressing the Back button. Scroll down to the Media Control widget and press the dial to select. You can access Media Control at any time, regardless of whether you're tracking an activity or in standby mode.
On PACE 4, NOMAD, and APEX 4, you can quickly access Media Control during activities by pressing your Shortcut button configured for Switch View. To set up Shortcuts, open the start screen of the activity mode you wish to customize, and scroll down to Shortcuts. Selecting Switch View allows you to quickly jump between your activity data pages, the map page, and Media Control (if media is playing) with the press of a button.
On the Media Control screen, you can see the title of the current track that's playing, along with options to adjust the volume, play, and pause. If you're listening to music, the forward and backward buttons allow you to return to the previous track or skip to the next track. If you're listening to a podcast, you can jump a few seconds ahead or behind.
To adjust any of the above settings, scroll with the dial until you've highlighted the desired button. Or, if you have touch screen settings enabled, simply tap on the desired button with your finger.
Use Media Control on COROS DURA
To control the media playing from your connected phone on DURA's screen, you will need to add Media Control on one of your data pages ahead of time. To do so, open your COROS app to the Profile page, select DURA, and choose Activity Settings.
Media Control is available to add from the "Others" category in certain layouts when customizing your data pages.
