Cycling VO2Max

VO2Max is the maximum amount of oxygen (in milliliters) per kilogram of body weight that you can consume per minute while exercising at maximum intensity. It is an important indicator to assess your body's aerobic capacity, and should increase as your fitness level increases. Factors such as age, gender, weight, and FTP affect your COROS VO2Max value.

As you record more cycling activities with power and heart rate data, COROS calculates your VO2Max and adjusts this value over time. Your VO2Max score will increase if enough consecutive bike rides show an increase in fitness.

Viewing Your VO2 Max

In the COROS app, open the Cycling FTP card and toggle to the VO2Max section. This tab shows a historical graph of your VO2Max trends.

On your COROS watch, scroll down from the main watch face and select the Cycling FTP widget. Your VO2Max value is listed here alongside your FTP value.
