Supported accessory types
Heart rate chest straps, bike power meters, speed sensors, cadence sensors, and indoor bike trainers can be paired via Bluetooth or ANT+ depending on your COROS device compatibility.
- The following COROS devices are compatible with both Bluetooth and ANT+ accessories: PACE 1, PACE 2, APEX 42, APEX 46, APEX Pro 1, VERTIX 1, DURA.
- The following COROS devices support only Bluetooth accessories: PACE 3, PACE Pro, APEX 2, APEX 2 Pro, VERTIX 2, VERTIX 2S.
- The COROS POD 1 pair via ANT+.
- The COROS POD 2 and COROS Heart Rate Monitor pair via Bluetooth.
You can add multiple accessories from the same type to the Added List on your COROS device. Only one accessory per type can be paired with your COROS device during workouts.
Accessories from different types can work together in one workout. For instance, a paired chest strap and cycling power meter can both work in Indoor Bike mode at the same time.
Dual accessories such as dual-sided power meters can still pair with the watch but only one side of them can work with the watch. Note: DURA supports power data from both left and right inputs on dual-sided power meters.
Currently, all accessory connections are automatically disabled in Pool Swim and Open Water modes since ANT+ and Bluetooth connections do not work well underwater.
Pairing your ANT+/Bluetooth accessories
- Turn on your accessory and make sure it is in pairing mode.
- On your COROS watch: main watch face > System > Accessories > Add ANT+/Bluetooth.
- On your COROS DURA: main menu > Accessories > Add ANT+Bluetooth.
- The paired accessory will only work while an activity mode is recording, not in standby mode.
- When you are ready to start an activity, wait on the Start page until the accessory icon stops flickering and remains solid, indicating the accessory is fully paired.
- If a heart rate chest strap is paired with your COROS watch, the optical wrist-based heart rate sensor on the watch will be disabled during that activity. If the chest strap is disconnected at any time, the optical wrist-based heart rate sensor will resume working.
Accessory settings and changing accessory names
From the Accessories menu on your COROS device, you can view, delete, and change the name of your paired accessories. Select the Added List to view the list of accessories currently paired to your device. Choose an accessory to view its current battery level, delete it from your device, or edit the name.
On PACE 3, PACE Pro, APEX 2, APEX 2 Pro, VERTIX 2, VERTIX 2S, and DURA you can rename your paired accessories to better identify multiple sensors of the same type.
On your COROS watch, go to the System menu > Accessories > Added List > select your sensor, then scroll to Edit Name. Open your COROS app to finish renaming the accessory, and the changes will be synced to your device.
On COROS DURA, go to the Accessories menu > Added List > select your sensor, then scroll to Edit Name. Open your COROS app to finish renaming the accessory, and the changes will be synced to your DURA.
If the paired accessory is a COROS device (for example, a POD 2 or COROS Heart Rate Monitor), the new name will also be reflected in your COROS app.
Low Battery Warning
If your paired accessory has 20% remaining battery or less, your COROS device will notify you with an on-screen prompt.
After finishing your activity, your device will remind you to charge the accessory.
Broadcast heart rate during activities
COROS watches support HR Broadcast to other devices that accept heart rate data via Bluetooth. Please note, if your watch is already paired with other ANT+/BLE accessories, the HR Broadcast feature will not be accessible due to technology limitations.
