Creating and Using Training Plans

Training plans can be created directly in the COROS app, downloaded from our official Training Plan Library, or synced from third party apps. Current training plans will be displayed in the first page of your COROS app in the Training Calendar.

 

Create Your Own Training Plan

You can create custom training plans directly from the COROS app and sync the plan to your watch for easy access.  To do so, follow these steps:

  • Get started: Open the COROS app to the Profile page. Scroll down and select "Training Plan Library." Tap the plus + icon in the top right corner to create a new plan. Enter a name and description for your plan.

  • Add workouts: Training plans are composed of individual workouts, so you can either create or add workouts to your new plan. To do so, select any week to start building your workouts for that week. Then, select any day of the week and choose to either Create a Workout or add one from your Workout Library (or the COROS official workouts library).
  • Drag and drop to rearrange workouts: To rearrange the schedule, press and hold on the six dots next to a workout. This will allow you to drag and drop that workout to a different day on the schedule.

  • Duplicate workouts: Workouts and entire weeks can be duplicated to different days/weeks. Swipe from right to left across the workout in your training plan builder, and select "Copy." Or, swipe from right to left across the entire week, and you will be prompted to choose a new week/day. The individual workout (or the entire week) will be duplicated to the chosen date.

  • Save and start training: When your new training plan is complete, tap "Save" in the top right corner. Select "Start Training Plan" at the bottom of the next page to begin following your new plan. You will be prompted to choose a start date, and press "Confirm" when you are ready. It is recommended to start your plan in the following week if you are not on Monday to avoid missing out on training.
  • Sync with your device: To send the plan to your watch, select the three dots in the top right corner and choose "Sync with your device." The next two weeks of the training plan will be synced to your watch. Only one training plan can be synced to your device at a time.

Follow a Training Plan on Your COROS Device

Once your training plan is added to your Training Calendar, you can easily sync the plan to your device and receive guided steps through each workout on days you have scheduled training.

  1. From the first page in your COROS app, select the Training Calendar. On the following page, click the three dots in the top right corner and choose "Sync with your device."
  2. On your COROS watch, you will be prompted to follow the scheduled workout for the day when you enter that activity mode. For example, if you have a run workout planned for today, if you enter Run, Trail Run, or Track Run mode, you will be prompted if you want to follow the scheduled workout.
  3. After confirming to follow the scheduled workout, you can preview the rest of the workouts scheduled for the week by scrolling with the dial. Highlight the workout planned for the current day and press the dial to confirm.
    • Tip: Before pressing Start, scroll down to Auto Start to adjust whether the watch automatically advances to the next phase of the workout, or if you prefer to manually advance by pressing the Back/Lap button.

 

How to Edit or Leave Training Plans

Edit a training plan: To make changes to your current training plan, open your COROS app to the Profile page and select "Training Plan Library." Toggle to "My Training Plans" near the top of the page, and select the plan you wish to edit. Click the three dots in the top right corner and select "Edit." Note: After making changes to your plan, make sure to sync with your device again to refresh the changes.

Leave a training plan: To leave the current training plan, open your COROS app to the first page and select the Training Calendar. Select the three dots in the top right corner and choose "In Progress" to view your current plan. After selecting the plan, click the three dots in the top right corner and choose "Exit". Note: If your training plan was synced from a third party app, it is not possible to remove it from your training plan library.

Download Official Training Plans

Free training plans are available from certified COROS coaches, right in your COROS app. Head to the Profile page in the app and open "Training Plan Library" to view available plans to download.

Once you've selected a plan, choose "Start Training Plan" at the bottom of the next page to begin following your new plan. You will be prompted to choose a start date, and press "Confirm" when you are ready. It is recommended to start your plan in the following week if you are not on Monday to avoid missing out on training.

To send the plan to your watch, select the three dots in the top right corner and choose "Sync with your device." The next two weeks of the training plan will be synced to your watch. Only one training plan can be synced to your device at a time.
