Note: If you recently updated your watch firmware, the Strength animations may have already began downloading in the background. To resume downloading the files, scroll down from the main watch face, as if you were scrolling through the daily widgets. If you have an unfinished download task, this will appear at the top of the widget list. Select the download task by pressing the dial button to resume downloading the Strength animations.

View Strength animations

Animations can be previewed from the workout list ahead of time, or played in the middle of the workout when you're ready to start the next set.

On your watch, go to the main activity menu and scroll to Workouts. Select the Strength workout you wish to preview, then scroll down and select View. Here you can scroll through the different phases of the workout, and if an animation is available for a certain exercise, you'll see a play arrow in the top right corner. You can then press the dial to preview that animation.

As you're following a workout in real time, your watch will guide you through each phase. When the name of the next exercise appears on the watch screen, if there is a play arrow in the top right corner next to the exercise name, you can press the dial to preview that animation.
