Customizing Activity Data Pages on COROS Watches

You can customize data pages, activity alerts, and button settings that are specific to each activity mode. These settings can be customized in the COROS app at any time, even while you're tracking an activity.

Customize Data Pages

Note: The workout lap screen (that appears during structured workouts) and the rest screen during Pool Swim cannot be customized.

Follow the steps below to customize activity data pages for your COROS watch:

  1. Open the COROS app to the Profile page (fourth tab) and select your device.
  2. Choose Activity Settings, then your desired activity mode.
  3. Select Edit Data to open the data page editor.

  4. On the left side, select one of the pages you wish to edit.
  5. Use the Change Layout option to customize the number of data fields on a page.
    • Tip: Use less data fields for better readability. The metrics will appear larger on your device if you choose a layout with less data fields.

  6. Select any data field to change metrics.
    • Depending on the size of the data field, some metrics may not be available if they require more space to be displayed.
    • Some metrics require pairing with external sensors to record data. These include advanced running dynamics (from a COROS POD 2), cycling power, advanced cycling dynamics, CORE temperature data, and others.
  7. Reorder pages by dragging and dropping the page previews on the left side.

Icons vs. Labels

Choose whether your data fields are labeled with icons or text. To customize this setting, open your COROS watch to the System menu > Activity Interface > Data Labels.

  • When Icons are selected, you will see full text labels when you first scroll to that data page or interact with the watch. After 5 seconds, the text labels will be replaced with icons.
    • Icons can help improve readability, since the size of the metrics within each data field will be slightly larger.
  • When Labels are selected, the text labels will always remain on the screen.

Shortcut Key Settings

Depending on which activity mode you are editing, the Back button can be customized to perform one of the following functions:

  • Mark a lap: Press once to create a manual lap. Within a few seconds, you can press again to undo the most recent lap.
  • Add a pin: Press once to mark a location (or leave a voice note on watches equipped with microphones), and your pin will be saved to the GPS track of your finished activity summary.
  • Transition: Jump to the next phase of the workout/training. Available in select activity modes, including Strength and Hybrid Fitness.
  • Record pitch: Available in select climbing modes.
  • Not set: No action occurs when you press the Left side button during an activity.

To customize this setting in the COROS app, open the Profile page (fourth tab) > select your device > Activity Settings > Shortcut Key.

To customize this setting directly on your COROS watch, open your desired activity mode, then scroll down to "Shortcuts" from within the start menu.

Action Button and Horizontal Pages

Available on COROS PACE 4, PACE 4 Pro, COROS NOMAD, APEX 4.

By default, pressing the Action button during outdoor activities will switch to the Map page. You can disable horizontal page switching, or add up to 3 horizontal pages in total: Map, Media, and Compass.

To customize the Action button and your horizontal pages, use the COROS app or make changes directly on your device:

  • COROS app: Open the Profile page (fourth tab) > select your watch > Activity Settings > Action Button.
  • On your watch: Open your desired activity mode, then scroll down to "Action Button".

Activity Alerts

Choose to enable specific alerts for distance, pace/speed, heart rate, and more, depending on the activity mode.

How it works: When alerts are enabled, your watch will alert you during the activity if you reach the preset distance/time, or if you are outside of the preset range. For example, if your heart rate alert is set for 130 - 150 bpm, your watch will alert you if your heart rate is 129 bpm or lower, and 151 bpm or higher.

Activity alerts can be customized within the COROS app, or directly on your device:

  • COROS app: Open the Profile page (fourth tab) > select your device > Activity Settings.
  • On your watch: Open your desired activity mode, then scroll down to Activity Settings from within the start menu.
    • You can adjust activity alerts in the middle of your activity by long pressing the Back button, then scrolling to Activity Settings.
