Getting Started

Activating Your COROS Heart Rate Monitor

When initially setting up the COROS Heart Rate Monitor, we recommend fully charging the device using the cable provided in the device's packaging. To charge the COROS Heart Rate Monitor, connect the charging cable to the back of the monitor. Once connected, an orange light will appear while the monitor is charging. Once it is fully charged, the orange light will change to green, indicating that you are ready to connect it to your COROS app or another device.

The COROS Heart Rate Monitor records heart rate data with the following Bluetooth-enabled devices:

  • Fitness tracking apps (for example, Strava)
    • Bluetooth permissions must be enabled in your phone settings for the app you are pairing with.
  • GPS watches, bike computers, and other Bluetooth-enabled devices (see our Compatibility Guide here)
  • The Heart Rate Monitor does not send heart rate data directly to the COROS app. Pairing with the COROS app is only required for updating the firmware.

Starting an Activity

The COROS Heart Rate Monitor is designed with a built-in wear detection sensor that detects when it is being worn, automatically pairing to your device each time you start a workout. With this feature, you can seamlessly connect your COROS Heart Rate Monitor with your additional devices at the start of an activity, making the experience even more convenient and hassle-free.

COROS Support Insights

To record an activity, the COROS Heart Rate Monitor will require a Bluetooth connection with another device, such as a compatible watch or 3rd party app via your smart phone. The COROS Heart Rate Monitor is unable to track activities without this connection, as the device does not contain the internal hardware necessary to record GPS data.

Tracking Activities and Pairing the Heart Rate Monitor with a COROS Device

Once the COROS Heart Rate Monitor is paired to your COROS app, it will be automatically added to all of your watches' accessories Added List. This is also the case if you have the COROS DURA Bike Computer. If you wish to check this connection on your watch or compatible COROS device, please follow the steps below:

  • System > Accessories > Added List > COROS Heart Rate > Connect Now

You can also manually remove the COROS Heart Rate Monitor from your watch by following the steps below:
