The COROS Heart Rate Monitor records heart rate data with the following Bluetooth-enabled devices:
- Fitness tracking apps (for example, Strava)
- GPS watches, bike computers, and other Bluetooth-enabled devices (see our Compatibility Guide here)
- The Heart Rate Monitor does not send heart rate data directly to the COROS app. Pairing with the COROS app is only required for updating the firmware.
To record a workout with the COROS Heart Rate Monitor directly from your phone, we recommend using a free activity tracking app like Strava, MyFitnessPal, RunTracker, or others available on the iOS and Google Play stores.
Using Strava as an example, open the Strava app to the Record page (third tab at the bottom). Swipe up from the bottom of the page to view more details such as live location, customize, and sensors. Select "Add a Sensor" to begin searching for nearby Bluetooth devices.
Wear the COROS Heart Rate Monitor on your arm to enable pairing mode. Once the Strava app detects the HRM, select it from the list of nearby sensors.
Once paired, click Start on the Strava record screen, and your heart rate data will be shared directly from the COROS HRM throughout the activity.
Troubleshooting
If your phone or fitness app can't detect your COROS Heart Rate Monitor, please double check the following details:
- The green lights on the back of the Heart Rate Monitor sensor are flashing, indicating that the device is in pairing mode. If you don't see any green lights, try wearing the Heart Rate Monitor on your arm or place a finger over the sensor to trigger the wear detection feature.
- Make sure Bluetooth permissions are enabled for the fitness app you are trying to pair to. For example, on iOS devices, ensure that Strava is selected under your phone Settings > Privacy & Security > Bluetooth, and Settings > Strava > Bluetooth > ON.
