Estimated Battery Life (GPS Activities)

The following are battery estimates for each watch model depending on the satellite mode used. Actually battery consumption may be higher depending on backlight usage, navigation, weak or lost satellite signal, and connections to external accessories.

Changes to Battery Expectations with Daily Stress

The February 2024 update brought changes to the heart rate algorithm and GPS firmware, which impacted the estimated battery life of existing COROS watches.

Changes to GPS Battery Estimations

The primary reason for changes to the estimated GPS battery life on COROS watches is due to updates with our Heart Rate measurement algorithms. This updated algorithm we find to be a far more accurate version to provide all COROS users with the most accurate wrist-based heart rate data possible. We also made small changes to the GPS firmware which brings small changes to overall power consumption. 

 

Changes to Daily Battery (without Daily Stress)

We've also updated our Daily Battery life estimation to include Sleep Tracking which was previously a separate data point when measuring the daily battery for COROS watches. Wearing your watch to sleep will result in quicker battery drain as various data points are recorded overnight to collect sleep data.
