Our advertised battery life is based on standard usage and confirmed by many users in real life, but we also feel it is important to let our community know what features typically cause the most battery drain.
In order, here is a list of the features that have the largest impact on the battery life of COROS watches.
- Vibrations and tones
- Backlight
- Failed GPS connection when in outdoor workouts
- Established GPS connections in different GPS settings
- Accessory connections such as heart rate straps and COROS POD 1 or 2
- Built-in sensors like heart rate and barometer
- Navigation/Map Mode
- Stress
In summary, frequent alerts with vibration and backlight, difficult conditions for the watch to connect with GPS, and Bluetooth/ANT+ sensor connection are the biggest factors causing unexpected battery consumption.
