With the new Target Run feature in Run and Track Run modes, set an exact distance or time you'd like to target. The Virtual Pacer feature is now included within the Target Run menu. Whether you're aiming to hit your weekly mileage goal, preparing for race day with a challenging workout, or aiming to PR at your next marathon, you can rely on the feature's real-time updates to help you stay on track and get the job done.
How to Set Your Target Distance or Time
On the start page of Run or Track Run mode, scroll down and select Target Run. You have the following options to select a target distance and/or time:
- Pacer: Choose a specific target for both distance and time. Pre-set distances are available for 5k, 10k, half marathon, and marathon, or you can enter a custom distance or skip a chosen distance entirely. Choosing a pre-set distance will prompt you to enter a target time. Choosing "Skip" will prompt you to enter a target pace. When you're ready to start, a virtual runner on the screen will show you your progress against your goal throughout the duration of the run.
- Distance: Choose a target distance only. Pre-set distances are available for 5k, 10k, half marathon, and marathon, or you can enter a custom distance. During your run, a new data screen is automatically added to display the distance remaining before you reach your goal.
- Time: Choose a target time only. During your run, a new data screen is automatically added to display how much time is remaining before you reach your goal.
