COROS Device Not Powering On or Charging

If your COROS device won't turn on or charge, first check if the power outlet voltage is too high/low. COROS devices support 5VA chargers. Do not charge your COROS device with a fast-charging power source. Try switch over to a different oulet, a computer, or a standard USB power adapter.

Next, clean the charging connectors. Check if your watch's charging port and the metal pins on the charging adapter or cable are free from debris. Use an air duster to blow away any dirt or debris that may have collected around the charging components.

If the device still doesn’t power on and the screen remains black even while charging, follow the steps below in this exact order:

  1. Charge your watch for over 2 hours, even if the screen doesn’t turn on.
  2. Remove the charging adapter from the back of the watch (this step is very important).
  3. Press and hold the Power button for over 15 seconds or until the COROS logo shows up.
    • COROS PACE 2, PACE 3, PACE 4, PACE Pro, APEX 4 - lower button (BACK button)
    • COROS APEX, APEX Pro, APEX 2, APEX 2 Pro - top button (LIGHT button)
    • COROS VERTIX - middle button (Digital Dial)
    • COROS VERTIX 2, VERTIX 2S - top button (LIGHT button)
    • COROS PACE - lower left button (CONFIRM button)

Device-Specific Troubleshooting

PACE 4, PACE Pro, COROS NOMAD, APEX 4

These watches come with a COROS charging adapter that works with any standard USB-C cable.  The metal pins on the charging adapter fit snugly into the watch's charging port.  Plug in the adapter to your watch until it snaps into place (the adapter will lie flush against the back of the watch).

Next, plug in a standard USB-C cable to the other end of the charging adapter. Once your USB-C cable is connected to power, your watch will begin charging.  Click on the following links for information about how to charge your PACE 4, PACE Pro, COROS NOMAD or APEX 4.

COROS PACE, PACE 2, PACE 3, PACE Pro, COROS NOMAD, APEX 42/46, APEX Pro, APEX 2/2 Pro, VERTIX, VERTIX 2/2S

Use either a standard COROS charging cable, or the COROS A1 to USB-C charging adapter, to power on and recharge your device.

If the watch is able to charge but the charging connection is unstable, we recommend using the A1 charging adapter to provide a more secure fit within the charging port. The A1 adapter works with any standard USB-C cable, and provides more stability while charging.

DURA

Use a standard USB-C charging cable to power on and recharge your device. If DURA still doesn’t power on after trying the steps above, please follow these instructions in this order:

  1. Charge the DURA for over 2 hours, even if the screen doesn’t turn on.
  2. Remove the charging cable from the device (this step is very important).
  3. Press and hold the power button (back button) and dial for 15 seconds
  4. Once complete, pause for 5 seconds
  5. Press and hold only the power button (back button) again for 5 seconds
