All COROS watches support 24/7 sleep tracking. The sleep algorithm used depends on your watch model.
PACE Pro
Your PACE Pro automatically recognizes and tracks sleep 24 hours a day. For best results, specify your Sleep Time and Wake Time manually in the COROS app > Profile page > Settings. (Note: The times are in 24-hour format.)
Setting the Sleep and Wake time helps the watch determine when to enter Sleep Mode, an automatic setting that quiets the display to minimize interruptions. If the watch detects that you are awake prior to your established Wake Time, it will exit Sleep Mode and resume normal operations (regular backlight and display settings). Conversely, if the watch detects that you've fallen asleep prior to your normal Sleep Time, it will enter Sleep Mode automatically.
Your PACE Pro will also give you insights into your sleep quality and sleep stages:
- Sleep lasting more than 3 hours will receive an overall sleep quality assessment and have sleep stages recorded.
- Any sleep that lasts less than 3 hours will be categorized as a nap. Learn more about tracking naps here.
- Separate sleep periods within the same day will be tracked. The only time two sleep periods will be merged is if the following criteria are met:
- There is a gap of 1 hour or less in between the sleep periods.
-
There are no obvious activities (workouts, steps) in between the sleep periods.
- Make sure to wear the watch properly on your wrist so that the HR sensor can detect your heart rate to monitor your sleep status. The sleep tracking will be affected if the watch is loosely worn or your arm has frequent movements. HRV is continuously measured in 10-minute intervals during sleep.
PACE 3, APEX 2, APEX 2 Pro, VERTIX 2, VERTIX 2S

PACE 2, APEX Pro, VERTIX
To receive the most accurate sleep tracking, please follow the guidelines below:
- Set up the sleep start time on the COROS app as close to when you actually fall asleep as possible.
- COROS app > Profile page > Settings > Sleep Time.
- Please note: The sleep time is in 24-hour format. If you sleep at 9pm, the sleep time should be 21:00.
- COROS app > Profile page > Settings > Sleep Time.
- Wear the watch properly on your wrist so that the HR sensor can detect your heart rate to monitor your sleep status. The sleep tracking will be affected if the watch is loosely worn or your arm has frequent movements. HRV is continuously measured in 10-minute intervals during sleep.
- The watch will start checking if you are asleep two hours before the sleep start time. If you fall asleep 30 minutes prior to the sleep start time, the sleep tracking will start 30 minutes before.
- Your COROS watch will continue tracking your sleep even if you take bathroom breaks within the first 6 hours from the time when the watch detects that you are asleep.
-
When you have two separate sleep periods, after the first wake-up, the watch will detect sleep patterns for the next 5 hours. If you fall asleep again within 5 hours, the next sleep period will be recorded, no matter how long it is. If you fall asleep for the second time after 5 hours, the sleep period will not be recorded.
- Your watch will continue tracking your sleep even if you wake up in the middle of the night. If you fall asleep again within 5 hours of waking up, the watch will continue to track your sleep patterns. But if you fall asleep after 5 hours, then the sleep period will not be recorded.
