How to Import Activities to Your COROS Account

Activity data from non-COROS devices and 3rd party apps - such as Strava, Apple Health, Garmin, Polar, and more - can be imported to your COROS account, as long as they meet the following requirements:

  • Format: The activities are in .fit or .tcx format
  • File size: The size of the import is between 20 KB and 200 MB
  • Activity mode: The activities are one of our supported activity modes. Daily data such as steps, heart rate, and sleep cannot be imported.
    • Running: Run, Indoor Run, Trail Run, Track Run, Hike
    • Cycling: Bike, Indoor Bike
    • Swimming: Pool Swim, Open Water Swim
    • Other outdoor sports: Multisport, Bouldering, Mountain Climb, GPS Cardio, Badminton, Basketball, Pickleball, Soccer, Tennis
    • Other indoor sports: Strength, Indoor Climb, Gym Cardio, Table Tennis

How to Import Non-COROS Activity Data

If the activities you wish to import meet the requirements above, follow the steps below to upload the file(s) to your COROS account.

  1. Export your activity data from the non-COROS platform to .fit or .tcx format. For detailed instructions on how to export your activity data from Strava, Garmin, and more, visit our step by step guidelines here.
  2. If you have many individual files exported, compress them into a single .zip file.
  3. On a computer, log in to t.coros.com with your COROS account credentials.
    • The COROS app does not accept importing activity history.
  4. Select "Activity List" at the top of the page, then "Import Data" in the top right corner.
  5. Select your compressed .zip file or individual .fit/.tcx files to upload.
    • If you are importing files from Garmin, check out these tips for selecting the right folder to upload.
  6. Wait for the upload to finish. You may need to refresh your screen in order to see the uploaded activities.

Tips and Troubleshooting

Common reasons why an upload may fail:

  • File size is too small: Your .zip file might contain many small individual files that are less than 20 KB. This is common with some activity data from platforms like Garmin. Because these files contain very little to no data, they can't be uploaded. Solution: In your Finder or File Explorer window, sort by file size to easily locate and delete any files smaller than 20 KB, and then try to import again.
  • File size is too large: If your individual activity file or compressed .zip file is larger than 200 MB, the upload may fail. Solution: Separate your activities into multiple smaller uploads, or try importing a few individually.
  • Unsupported activity mode: If your .zip file contains any unsupported activity modes, the entire upload may fail. Solution: Ensure all of the files within your .zip folder contain supported activity modes, based on the list at the top of this article. Delete any that are unsupported, and try to import again.
  • Unsupported file type: If the activity data was converted from a different file type, the upload may fail. Solution: Ensure your activity data is originally in .fit or .tcx format, and delete any unsupported file types from your .zip folder before attempting to import again.
