Data collection is a setting that can be enabled on your COROS device to help gather additional data points for the use of bug identification, beta testing, and more.

To enable data collection:

  1. Hold the back button to open your toolbox
  2. Select "System --> More Settings"
  3. Scroll to find "Device Info" but do not press the digital dial to select
  4. With the "Device's Info" section highlighted, hold the back button for 8-10 seconds
  5. A new menu will appear.  Choose "Data Collection"

Now you will see a list of different sensors and systems that you can enable data collection for:

  • GPS
  • Heart Rate
  • SpO2
  • IMU
  • ACC
  • Algo Data
  • Accessories
  • Sleep

After collecting the data, follow these steps to access the files to send to support@coros.com:

  • Connect the watch to a computer via the charging cable.
  • The raw data files are located in a LOG or DATA COLLECTION folder.
  • Copy and share the data files with support@coros.com

For PACE 3, PACE Pro, COROS NOMAD, APEX 2, APEX 2 Pro, APEX 4, VERTIX 2, VERTIX 2S, and DURA, you may send the files using WiFi instead of connecting your device to a computer:

  1. Follow the steps here to connect to Wi-Fi: Connecting your COROS watch to WiFi
  2. On the watch: System > More Settings > highlight Device's Info option but do not press the dial.
  3. Press and hold the BACK button for 8 seconds to open the "Data Collection" setting.
  4. Select WiFi Sync and email support@coros.com when this step has been completed.
