If the COROS app is causing excessive battery drain on your Android phone, please follow the troubleshooting steps below.
Quick Fix
- Open your phone's Settings > Apps > COROS.
- Make sure Notifications are enabled for the COROS app. Disabling notifications can cause the app to use excessive background resources as it repeatedly tries to maintain the Bluetooth connection.
- Restart your phone after enabling notifications.
Additional Steps
- Update the COROS app to the latest version from the Google Play Store. Battery drain issues are regularly addressed in app updates.
- Check battery optimization settings: Go to your phone's Settings > Battery > Battery Optimization (path varies by phone manufacturer). Make sure the COROS app is set to Unrestricted or Not optimized. Aggressive battery optimization can interfere with Bluetooth connectivity and cause the app to repeatedly attempt reconnection, draining your phone battery.
- Restart your phone after making changes.
Note: This issue primarily affects Android devices. If you continue to experience excessive battery drain after trying these steps, please contact COROS Support with your phone model, Android version, and COROS app version number.
