Just like you might track the odometer on your car to know when you need your next oil change, you can now track the gear you use for your activities to see how much mileage they've accumulated and when you might need to perform maintenance on your bike, or replace a pair of shoes.
To set up gear tracking, head to the Profile page in your COROS app and select Gear Tracking. Click the plus (+) button to add a new bike or new pair of shoes.
- Name your new gear
- Add a starting mileage and max distance for shoes, and opt to be notified if you reach your max distance
- Choose what activity modes your new gear will be added to. (You can also manually add or swap gear from activities after they are finished. See below for details.)
- For example, if you want a pair of shoes to be added to Track Runs but not Trail Runs, you can customize that here.
- Each time you record an activity in the selected mode(s), your gear will automatically added at the bottom of the activity summary, and the corresponding distance accumulated in the Gear Tracking page.
How do I manually add or change gear from an activity?
Open the desired activity from the Activity List page in your COROS app, and scroll down to the device section at the very bottom of the page. Click "add gear" to apply a pair of shoes or bike from your gear list to the activity. If you already have gear applied, you can swap it by selecting the item from the bottom of your activity summary. Note: Once gear is selected, it can only be replaced, not deleted.
PACE 3, APEX 2/2 Pro, and VERTIX 2/2S users can also manually select gear directly on the watch. Immediately after finishing your activity, you will be prompted to choose a pair of shoes or bike if you have multiple options listed in the Gear Tracking page in your app for that activity mode. Scroll between options and select one to be applied to the activity, and the details will be synced to your app.
