With new interval options and drill mode, you can now easily structure your swim sessions and ensure your activities are accurately tracked.
Drill Mode
Keep track of your single-arm drills, kick sets, and other types of drills directly on your COROS watch.
- At any point while tracking a Pool Swim activity, press the dial to pause the activity.
- Scroll down and select Mode to switch between regular swim and Drills.
- Choose Drills, then scroll back up to Resume the activity.
- After resuming, you can complete multiple types of drills by pressing the Lap button in between each set. The watch will prompt you to select a distance for the completed drill (or select 0 distance / Stationary if you remained at the wall).
- Once your drills are completed, press the dial to pause the activity again.
- Scroll down to Mode and select regular swim. You can then resume the activity and continue swimming.
To include drill sets to your pool swim workouts ahead of time (from the app > Profile page > Workout Library), select any type of exercise (warmup, training, or cool down) while creating your workout. From the stroke type dropdown menu, choose "Drills" and select a target distance or time for each drill interval.
Regular Interval vs. Send-Off Time
You can set up pool swim interval workouts ahead of time on the COROS app, or directly on your COROS watch.
On your COROS watch, go to Pool Swim mode and scroll down to Basic Interval. Select Interval Mode to choose between one of two options:
- Regular interval mode: Choose your stroke type, target distance, rest time, and number of repeats. Your watch will guide you through the workout based on separate targets for your swim intervals and rest intervals. An example workout would be 10 x 100 meters with 30 second rest in between.
- Send-Off interval mode: Choose your stroke type, number of repeats, and combined overall time for each swim and rest interval. An example workout would be 10 x 100 meters leaving on 1:40. After completing each 100 meter interval, press the Lap/Back button. Whatever time is remaining before 1:40 is counted towards your rest time for that interval. Once the remaining time concludes, your watch will automatically start tracking the next swim interval.
If you are setting up pool swim intervals ahead of time in the COROS app, head to the Profile page > Workout Library > create a new workout. After selecting Pool Swim, you can choose the type of exercise to add to the structured workout, either Interval or Send-Off Time Interval.
