The speed and cadence sensors can each last up to 12 months (if used for 1 hour each day).
If the sensor is awake but not connected to a device, it will automatically shut down after 2 minutes of no activity. If the sensor is awake and connected to a device, it will automatically shut down after 5 minutes of no activity.
The LED light on the front of the sensor turn from orange to green when the battery level is low. If you see an orange light on your sensor, please replace the battery soon.
The COROS Bike Speed and Cadence Sensors operate on a CR2032 V3 button cell battery. To replace it, twist the battery cover counterclockwise to remove it. Wait 30 seconds before inserting a new battery. Then twist the cover clockwise to secure it.
The speed and cadence sensors pair via Bluetooth (not ANT+). They can be paired with up to two devices simultaneously. Open your device's Bluetooth pairing menu to search for and pair with the sensors.
Yes. Speed and distance are calculated entirely by the speed sensor while it's paired to DURA, making the battery life on your DURA virtually infinite.
The COROS Bike Speed Sensor calculates your speed and distance by measuring how many times your wheel has rotated. Knowing the size of your wheel circumference, it knows how far you travel in a single wheel rotation. Multiplying the rate of wheel rotation by the wheel circumference allows speed to be measured.
When pairing the bike speed sensor to a device for the first time, the device will prompt you to enter the wheel circumference of your bike to get the most accurate speed and distance measurements.
You can adjust the wheel circumference setting at any time by going to your connected device's accessories menu, selecting the COROS Bike Speed Sensor, and entering a new wheel circumference.
On your COROS DURA or COROS watch, you can access this setting by going to System > Accessories > select the COROS Bike Speed Sensor > Wheel Circumference.
The COROS Bike Speed Sensor is available to purchase globally, but the COROS Bike Cadence Sensor is only available for purchase in select countries: Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The cadence sensor cannot be sold in Europe, Australia, or Japan due to CE certification restrictions.
