Viewing Notifications

On your COROS watch: Your COROS watch can receive notifications in real time. These will appear on the main watch face during and outside of workouts, depending on your notification settings. To view previous notifications (or any notifications received in the background), swipe down from the main watch face to the Notification Widget. Supported notifications include texts, messages, emails, calendar alerts, and phone calls. COROS watches support displaying most emojis. Images and videos are not supported.

On COROS DURA: Your COROS DURA can receive notifications in real time. These will appear briefly on the screen during your bike ride, and be dismissed by pressing the Back/Lap button once. To view previous notifications, scroll down through the main menu to the Notification menu. Supported notifications include texts, messages, emails, calendar alerts, and phone calls. COROS DURA supports displaying most emojis. Images and videos are not supported.

How to Delete Notifications

While viewing the notification widget on your watch, press the dial to select and delete the current notification.

Deleting notifications on your watch will not affect the notifications received on your phone.

How to Manage Phone Calls

When your COROS watch displays an incoming phone call, you can choose to silence the notification or reject the phone call.

  • To silence the phone call notification, press the Back button once. This stops your COROS device from alerting you about the call, but it can still be received on your phone.
  • To reject the phone call, press the Dial button. This also rejects the phone call from your phone, and the call will not be answered.

On COROS APEX 4, you can also receive phone calls directly on the watch via the microphone. Click here to learn more about this feature.

Do Not Disturb

Do Not Disturb mode allows you to mute all push notification alerts on your COROS watch. Incoming notifications will still be received on your COROS watch in the background, where they are viewable in the Notifications widget.

To enable Do Not Disturb, long press the Back button to open the toolbox menu and scroll to Control Center. Select Daily Mode, and change this to Do Not Disturb.

Disable All Notifications

To stop receiving all notifications on your COROS device, open the COROS app to the Profile page, select your device, and open the Notifications menu. Make sure all apps are toggled OFF.

To temporarily disable notifications, you can use Do Not Disturb mode (explained above) or toggle off your phone's Bluetooth, which will interrupt the connection between your watch and phone and inhibit notifications.

Common Reasons Why Notifications Do Not Appear

On COROS watches, any of the following scenarios may prevent notifications from appearing on your watch:

  1. Do Not Disturb mode is enabled on your watch. This quiets notifications, and they are received in the background. You can still view them from the notification widget on your watch. To turn off Do Not Disturb mode, long press the Back button to open the Toolbox menu > scroll to Control Center > toggle from DND mode to Daily Mode.
  2. Sleep Mode is enabled on your watch. During sleep, notifications are quieted and only received in the background. Any missed notifications still appear in the notification widget on your watch. To exit Sleep mode, long press the Back button to open the Toolbox menu > scroll to Control Center > toggle from Sleep Mode to Daily Mode.
  3. Wear detection: If your watch detects that it's not being worn, it will receive the notification in the background, rather than displaying it directly on the watch face for privacy reasons.
  4. Phone settings: Regardless of the notification settings in your COROS app, your phone settings may override these preferences and inhibit notifications from all apps or specific apps. Please reference our troubleshooting guides for iOS and Android for further details.

Troubleshoot

If you are experiencing issues receiving notifications on your COROS device, first try toggling all notifications OFF and back ON from the Profile page in your COROS app.

If that does not work, try removing and re-pairing your COROS device to your phone.

  2. Remove the device from your COROS app by going to the Profile page in the app, selecting your device, and selecting Remove.
  3. Turn on your device by holding the power button for 15 seconds.
  4. Re-pair the device from the Profile page in the app.
  5. Enable notifications again from the app.
