Running Fitness Test
- From the watch activity menu, scroll to Fitness Tests.
-
Before starting the test, you will be prompted to select a recent 10km time.
-
Choosing your recent 10km time will determine the pace ranges you are required to run in during the test. The faster your 10km time, the narrower the pace range you will need to adhere to.

Testing Procedure
Warm-up: 5min (can be paused and/or skipped)
(During the testing phases, you cannot pause or skip any section)
Test 1: 25min - Estimated to be your marathon pace
Test 2: 3 min - Estimated to be your 10km race pace, or Lactate Threshold
Test 3: 3 min - Estimated to be your Lactate Threshold and higher, about 5km pace
Test 4: 3 min - Slightly faster (optional) - If your HR is still <90% of your HR Reserve, you will have to complete this next incremental stage.
Test 5: 3 min - Slightly faster (optional) - If your HR is still <90% of your HR Reserve, you will have to complete this last incremental stage.
Cooldown - 5 min (can be paused and/or skipped)

During the test
- The data page displayed is fixed and shows Pace, Heart Rate, and Remaining Time. Users cannot scroll to change this page and skips/pauses are not allowed.
- Make sure to run within the required pace ranges. If you fall too far outside the pace range, you may fail the test.
- Even if you don't reach the requirements for the max HR evaluation during the two, 3-minute intervals, your threshold HR and threshold pace will still be assessed based on the 25-minute phase of the test.

After the test
-
If the test is completed successfully, the results will be displayed both on the watch and in the COROS app.
- A user may fail the test if their heart rate is lower than 65% of Max HR or lower than Heart Rate Reserve. For example, if my Max HR is 185, Resting Heart Rate is 53, my Heart Rate Reserve is 132. During the 25min testing phase, if my HR is 131, I will fail the test. The only time this issue may occur is due to a hardware issue with incorrect heart rate readings, or a 10km time was chosen that is much slower than your actual ability.
