Downloading Routes
Create or import routes to follow on DURA and DURA 2 SOLAR, so you can explore new areas in confidence. You can source routes in a few ways, either by creating one directly within the app, or importing from another source.
- Create a route: Check out our article on the Explore Page for details on how to create routes within the COROS app.
- Sync routes from other apps: If your COROS account is linked to 3rd party apps such as Strava, Komoot, or Ride with GPS, you can automatically sync routes from those platforms directly to your COROS app. The synced routes will appear in your Route Library folder in the Explore page.
-
Import GPX files: To import a route from another source such as a race website, open and save the route using the COROS app.
- First, download the route from the website in GPX format.
- Save the GPX file to your phone. When opening the GPX file, your phone may prompt you to choose an app. Select the COROS app.
- Press "Save" to save the route to your app.
Syncing Routes to DURA and DURA 2 SOLAR
Once you have routes saved in your COROS app, you can sync them to your device before or during your ride:
- Open the app to the Explore page.
- Select the route library icon in the top right corner, then choose a route.
- Click "Send to device".
- If you're already tracking a ride, DURA will prompt you if you'd like to start following the new route, and you can either confirm (to start navigating) or deny (to save the route in the background).
- From the home screen of DURA, you can start following the new route by scrolling down and selecting the Navigation menu.
Tips for Syncing Routes
We recommend uploading routes that are no more than 2,000 kilometers long, 100MB in size, and less than 200 waypoints. If your route is longer, please consider breaking it up into smaller individual routes.
If you're not able to sync a route to DURA / DURA 2 SOLAR, double check that the route is saved as a Bike route in your app. If it's classified as a run, trail run, or other sport, edit the route and re-save it as a cycling route.
