Interacting with the Map

While viewing the map, you can perform a number of different fuctions:

  • Zoom: Pinch to zoom on the touchscreen, tap the zoom controls, or use the haptic buttons (only when the map is a horizontal page). The map can zoom between 50 meters (120 feet) and 5 kilometers (3 miles).
  • Pan and re-center: Drag your finger along the map to pan and view nearby areas. DURA 2 SOLAR will automatically re-center after a few seconds, but you can also do this manually by pressing the Left side button.
  • Adjust heading: Tap the compass in the top corner to switch from North Up to Heading Up.

Points of Interest (POIs)

Points of Interest are displayed on the map for notable locations, such as water, grocery stores, parking, public bathrooms, hospitals, and bike shops.

Pins and Saved Locations

Any Pins saved on the Explore page in the app, and any Pins you've saved during the current activity, will appear on the map. To save a new location, press the Right side button (while viewing the map page). This opens a new menu, where you can select "Save Current Location."
